Who we are

Originally created in 2018 by three high school students, Dock5 Films began as a reason to collaborate, and out of a love for making art alongside people you care about. Dock5 Films since has evolved through several forms over the years, notably as an LLC that produced work across both narrative and documentary spaces, before finding its true purpose as a nonprofit in 2025.

Now led by Kadrik Blatt, Dock5 Films is dedicated to creating opportunities for emerging filmmakers driven by ambition and a deep desire to create, regardless of resources or circumstance.

Leona Theunissen and JonCarlo Salinas-Tognetti have since joined the Dock5 Films leadership team, bringing with them a unique mix of perspective and a shared desire to give back to the film community.
